Yunnan White Kidney Bean Industry Attracts Attention, Tianbao Birch Biological as Yunnan Characteristic Enterprise Appears in the Second Consumer Fair

Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Hainan Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Commerce, Bureau of Foreign Trade Development and the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau of the second China International Consumer Goods Expo (referred to as "Consumption Expo"), will be held from July 25 to 30, 2022 (opening ceremony on July 25) in Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center. Consumption Expo is the first national exhibition with the theme of consumer goods, gathering resources in the field of global consumption, and strive to create an important platform for the display and trading of global consumer goods. With a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters and more than 2,800 brands, this year's Consumption Fair is the largest boutique exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region.

One of the highlights of the Fair is that it brings together 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and the domestic provincial and municipal autonomous regions' pavilions with strong local characteristics. The pavilions have higher requirements for exhibitors, focusing more on local "high, new, special, excellent" consumer products, local characteristics of consumer brands, innovative consumer products, excellent cultural and creative products, consumer-related services, places, new retail formats. Invited by the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province, Yunnan Tianbao Birch Biologicals, as one of the characteristic enterprises of Yunnan Province, appeared in the booth of Yunnan Province in the domestic provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions section of the Consumer Expo, to help Yunnan innovative scientific and technological products to go out and to promote the "Yunnan products out of Yunnan".

Yunnan is the richest region of legume germplasm in China, and also the largest planting area and the only high-quality white kidney bean producing area with commercial scale, and it is also the main white kidney bean exporting and processing province in China. Relevant departments of the Yunnan Provincial Government on the Yunnan white kidney bean industry development and upgrading has given very great attention and support.

In June of this year, the Yunnan Food Industry Association established the Kidney Bean Industry Cluster Professional Committee, and Zhong Yu, General Manager of Yunnan Tianbao Huahua Biologicals, was appointed as the Director of the Kidney Bean Industry Cluster Professional Committee. Since its establishment, the committee has been supported by Yunnan Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation, Yunnan Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Yunnan Provincial Food Industry Association and other relevant departments to carry out a series of work. All-out clustering to enhance the level of Yunnan Province kidney bean germplasm research, high-tech deep processing level, to achieve a leap in the added value of the kidney bean industry chain, to create higher social and economic benefits.

On July 21, Yang Zhengxiao, director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and head of the city's biomedical industry chain, presided over a symposium of key enterprises in Kunming's biomedical industry chain. Zhong Yu, general manager of Yunnan Tianbao Birch Biological, attended the symposium as one of the representatives of the key enterprises of the biomedical industry chain and made a report on the current situation and future development of Yunnan white kidney bean industry chain. The meeting aimed to build a platform for government-enterprise interaction, get together with key enterprises and relevant departments in Kunming, discuss and study industrial development ideas, and actively promote the development of the biomedical industry chain. At the meeting, white kidney beans were included in the Kunming City, the advantage of biological resources, green extraction of health products industry chain key development areas.
