In the afternoon of June 21, 2022, the leaders of Yunnan Food Industry Association came to the white kidney bean planting and breeding base of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (YAAS) located in Longtan Village, Shuanglong Town, Panlong District, Kunming City, China, and awarded the legume team of Grain Crops Research Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences with the title of "Kidney Bean Industry Cluster Committee Kidney Bean Original Seed/Primary Seed Breeding Base".

Afterwards, Yunnan Food Industry Association Kidney Bean Industry Cluster Professional Committee will cooperate with Yunnan Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences Grain Crops Research Institute Legume Crops Team to carry out more global kidney bean varieties collection and collation, molecular breeding, seed breeding, green cost-saving and efficiency technology, deep processing and high value-added product development and so on. Efforts to improve the quality of white kidney beans, and jointly promote the development of Yunnan white kidney bean industry.
